About the role
- Site Reliability Engineer ensuring software reliability and managing cloud environments at Akur8. Collaborating with R&D teams and maintaining infrastructure across three time zones.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and monitor the infrastructure used to build, test, and deploy the Akur8 software
- Participate in the provisioning and management of Akur8’s cloud environments
- Support the growth of Akur8 and its products while ensuring SLO compliance
- Automate workflows and pipelines to reduce repetitive tasks
- Improve and maintain our CI pipelines (GitHub Actions), including best practices for Docker container management
- Design, develop, and maintain automation using Terraform, AWS CLI, Git, and tools written in Python, Go, or other relevant languages
- Participate in on-call rotations (once per month)
- Monitor and optimize system reliability using Datadog
- Promote and apply IT security best practices
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams and contribute to a strong team culture — we are looking for a true team player
Requirements
- Engineering degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science
- Strong experience with monitoring and maintaining production systems
- Good knowledge of IT security best practices
- Significant experience with AWS and Azure
- Solid experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, and automation workflows
- Strong programming skills (Python, Go, etc.)
- Fluency in English
- Motivation, curiosity, teamwork, and willingness to learn
