Responsibilities
Design and build the UI framework for Agilent’s commerce platform.
Accurately translate user and business needs into functional, secure and efficient frontend design and code.
Design and build reusable components and front-end libraries empowering rapid development
Translating designs and wireframes into high quality implementation
Optimizing components for maximum performance across web-capable devices and browsers
Collaborate with backend and quality engineers to spec, write, test, and deploy code that integrates with data streams and API endpoints.
Utilize responsive design techniques and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Define and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices for UI/UX consistency across projects.
Perform code reviews and improve/ensure the quality of product.
Stay up to date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance the user experience.
Drive innovation in the UI design process to differentiate the product in competitive markets.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent education.
6+ years UI architecture design, and programming experience, preferably in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
A deep understanding of advanced HTML/CSS, JavaScript libraries and frameworks
Experience with CSS pre-processors like LESS or SASS
Should be able to perform DOM manipulations with ease
Strong analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Knowledgeable of the performance, scalability & security considerations for web applications.
Proficient with debugging and testing tools to troubleshoot and optimize the UI.
Understanding of front-end security best practices and XSS, CSRF, etc
Solid understanding of user interactions required for Single-Page Applications.
Able to quickly learn and implement new technologies, UI appropriate frameworks and tools.
