About the role

  • Advise and support managers and employees on employment and collective bargaining law issues
  • Interpret and apply German employment and social law as well as collective agreements
  • Review and handle personnel measures for legal and collective bargaining compliance
  • Prepare and follow up on meetings with the works council
  • Provide advice on performance evaluations, absence management, and disciplinary processes
  • Develop and deliver training for managers on people management and employment law

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (Fachhochschule or university) in Human Resources, Law with a focus on HR and/or Employment Law, or another relevant field
  • Solid knowledge of German employment law, collective bargaining law (Tariff Law), works council/employee representation law, and social law
  • Ability to perform thorough legal research and confidently apply findings in practice
  • Strong advisory skills and diplomatic tact
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Team player, resilient and reliable
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mediate between differing interests
