About the role

  • Service Engineer for global maintenance and repair of electronic components at AEG Power Solutions. Involves training, documentation, and troubleshooting in various customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Global deployment for maintenance and repair of electrotechnical and electronic components, systems and installations such as power converter devices including the battery system
  • Investigation of complex power converter devices at customer sites, test and trial fields as part of handling customer complaints
  • Training and instruction of the operating personnel for the respective systems
  • Conveying product information to customers
  • Supervising and instructing technically subordinate staff on site
  • Performing installation inspections of site/contractor-performed installations
  • Commissioning of new devices and systems at customer sites
  • Documentation of performed activities and of the condition of devices/systems including creation of customer-specific protocols (SAT, WKP)
  • Inspection of customer devices and systems including creation of a defect list and a maintenance plan according to the service life achieved by the device/system
  • Preparing technical documentation describing the procedure for fault analysis
  • Adapting test routines and programs
  • Preparing retrofit concepts and circuit diagrams
  • Defining the necessary measurement points, test equipment and protocols for KTA-related seismic and EMC tests

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering (FH) or equivalent
  • Experience in power supply and project planning
  • Knowledge of our products is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant DIN VDE, TAB and UVV regulations is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel is required
  • Goal-oriented, structured and stress-resistant, especially in customer communication
  • Commitment and confident demeanour with adequate problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Very good written and spoken German and English skills
