About the role
- Project Engineer managing high and medium complexity projects in power supply and conversion. Overseeing technical documentation and ensuring timely delivery to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage high and medium complexity projects from order acquisition to delivery at customer site.
- Manage and customize the technical project documentation.
- Provide technical support during the execution.
- Secure and/or increase the profitability margins.
- Respect the agreed time schedules and quality customer’s expectations.
- Coordinate major / complex projects from order to delivery at customer site.
- Establish a project plan in compliance with Prince II principles.
- Be a single point of contact for the customer and internal team.
- Manage the project deliverables and monitor the scheduling, process and delivery time of the production process.
- Confers with managers, customers and others to discuss the project status and modify contract schedules on time when necessary.
- Reviews contracts to determine what documentation is required for each phase of the project.
- Manage an on time and accurate variation order.
- Carry out a contract review prior to acceptance of the order.
- Manage completion of the project deliverables, including placing orders for all materials, and ensuring on time delivery of services.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Electrical degree in engineering or similar.
- Prince II certificate (preferred) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales / engineering environment.
- Basic understanding of commercial/contract law.
- Good understanding of a project P&L and cash flow.
- Good basic knowledge of electrical engineering processes.
- Computer literacy.
- Fluent in English.
