About the role
- Cyber Security Engineer providing cybersecurity support for SCADA, OT networks and industrial control systems at Vestas. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure operations in offshore wind farms.
Responsibilities
- Provide cybersecurity support and expertise for offshore SCADA, OT networks, and industrial control systems.
- Support technicians and local service organizations with secure remote access, firewall configuration, user management, and network hardening.
- Deliver real-time remote support through Hotline participation, including on-call weekend rotation and shift coverage.
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT Security, third-level support, and external partners to drive continuous security improvements.
- Support audits, compliance activities, and alignment with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement of security processes and solutions.
- Provide commissioning and lifecycle security support on new projects.
Requirements
- Solid experience with Cisco® networking equipment (CCNA level minimum).
- Experience with SCADA.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations such as IEC 62443, NIS 2, and KRITIS V.
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting techniques in industrial or networked environments.
- Basic knowledge of industrial protocols (e.g. MODBUS, IEC 104, OPC) and industrial electrical systems (beneficial).
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems (beneficial).
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (beneficial).
- Professional-level English communication skills, both spoken and written.
