About the role

  • Engineering intern participating in environmental impact calculations for projects at ADEO. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to improve product lines and sustainability efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze product feedback for the international assortment across all channels (customer reviews, after-sales service, internal media, store returns, supplier information, etc.).
  • Identify underperforming products (quality, cost, performance, functionality, user guidance) and determine the deviation from the brand target.
  • Lead root-cause analyses of customer dissatisfaction using continuous improvement tools.
  • Develop solutions with suppliers and stakeholders and present and defend proposals (cost, quality, timing) to product committees and management.
  • Monitor the implementation of improvements by coordinating teams throughout the process.
  • Capture and consolidate data, methods and processes to populate the technical database.
  • Adopt methods and tools, build your ecosystem and understand the sustainability challenges linked to our strategies.
  • Collect, after prioritization, data across the full product life cycle and calculate associated environmental impacts in collaboration with our suppliers.
  • Simulate improvements or modifications (materials, extended product lifespan, etc.) and propose concrete action plans in partnership with the project team.
  • Present and defend solutions (cost, quality, timing) to product committees and management.
  • Collect final data and communicate it to the relevant entities (corporate quality, positive impact initiatives).

Requirements

  • You are curious, autonomous and organized, currently in your 4th or 5th year of studies.
  • You have experience using LCA calculation tools (EIME, YUKAN, SimaPro…) and have experience in life-cycle modelling and product design.
  • You are proficient in English.
  • You are rigorous, pragmatic, detail-oriented and have strong communication skills.
  • You enjoy working in teams.
  • You are solution-oriented and focused on continuous improvement when facing industrial, technological and environmental challenges.
  • You are able to advise product teams.
  • You have a strong affinity for the home improvement/housing sector.
