About the role
- Engineer providing technical support for renewable energy projects at WEC Energy Group. Designing and maintaining data architecture, managing flows, and collaborating with teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to renewable energy projects
- Design, deploy, and maintain data architecture and pipelines
- Manage data flows that feed predictive models
- Collaborate with Renewables team and IT support groups
- Review performance and reliability of assets
- Design analytics and KPI reporting
- Manage the ETL process for operational data
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- SQL (T-SQL, MySQL, Athena), VBA, API, and Python/R experience
- Cloud-based data infrastructure experience
- Database architecture & management experience
- Power BI, AWS and related services experience
- DevOps and GitHub experience
- Renewable energy technology experience, especially wind, solar, and energy storage
- Familiarity with data visualization / business intelligence tools
- Strong initiative, collaborative, prioritization, and time management skills
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems
