About the role

  • Accountant role maintaining financial records and ensuring compliance in Switzerland and Bulgaria. Lead financial insights, cross-functional collaboration, and operational support in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities for the Swiss entity
  • Trend and variance analysis
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements, ensuring they meet local statutory and compliance requirements
  • Manage accruals and related accounting processes
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Swiss regulations
  • Prepare and file all applicable tax returns for the entity
  • Oversee internal and external communications
  • Oversee Accounts payable and check payments
  • Responsible for the controlling of the Swiss entity
  • Assist in the development of internal reporting and ad hoc analysis as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years of accounting experience in a similar environment
  • German language proficiency is mandatory in Switzerland
  • German language for Bulgaria is an advantage
  • Professional Microsoft Excel and ERP knowledge
  • Strong Background with Swiss Local Code, Swiss GAAP standards, and US GAAP is a plus
  • High level of discipline, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of accuracy
