About the role

  • Undergraduate Multimedia Intern producing audio and video content for ACLU’s Communications Department. Supporting podcast production, video editing, and research tasks in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • The Multimedia intern is an integral member of the team, assisting with production of the ACLU’s in-house podcast as well as videos.
  • Interns will conduct research, draft scripts and paper edits, transcribe and review interview footage, edit videos, assist on shoots and interviews, and participate in brainstorms and meetings.
  • Work closely with producer and hosts of ACLU’s in-house podcast and pitch topics and provide background research for each episode.
  • Manage and edit podcast taping transcripts and prepare publish packaging for podcast episodes.
  • Research video topics, draft scripts, review and transcribe video footage.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated interest in audio storytelling, journalism, and video production
  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Experience with audio and video editing and experience working in an editorial environment preferred
  • Able to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize
