About the role

  • Senior Test Engineering Technician assisting with test program design for power control systems. Responsible for debugging and mentoring less experienced technicians within the project scope.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of various products and services used in power control and power conversion systems
  • Write test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluate the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications
  • Debug test hardware and software
  • Assist in design, build and/or procurement of new or improved machines, tools, fixtures and material handling equipment and coordinating the implementation
  • Responsible for completing process documentation, bill of materials, route sheets, etc.
  • Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions, and to support the design for manufacture
  • Set up and conduct tests of units and components
  • Analyze test results related to the design and test objectives and adjust equipment to bring within specifications
  • Record these test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test methods
  • Mentor and coach less experienced technicians

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the defense industry
  • Competent technical expertise in testing of electrical and mechanical components
  • Experience with medium to high voltage equipment; familiarity with power controls and power conversion
  • U.S. Citizenship required
