About the role
- Process Engineer at CMC monitoring shop performance and recommending improvements. Expertise in raw materials and EAF processes required in our steel manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor shop performance and processes daily for operation within established parameters
- Investigate and recommend process, procedure, training or equipment needs to continually improve performance
- Work with Quality Assurance Department to monitor product quality and identify and correct any deviations
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on capital projects and commissioning of new equipment
- Responsible for process stabilization and improvement in all shop areas
- Monitor shop parameters and implement process changes as necessary.
Requirements
- Expertise in raw materials, electric arc furnace (EAF), ladle furnace, caster and refractory performance.
- Project management and equipment commissioning skills.
- Experience implementing and maintaining lean manufacturing practices.
- Adept at applying statistical methods to monitor and control process variability, ensuring consistent performance.
- Adept at implementing and leading continuous improvement processes.
