About the role
- Graduate Business Intelligence & Data Analyst joining a team in Singapore focused on data analysis and workflow automation for financial markets. Collaborate with sales and product development for market analyses.
Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis to support reporting, operational insights, and decision-making via dashboard and visual presentations to various internal stakeholders.
- Support automated data collection from internal systems and external data sources whilst keeping a mindset of continued data optimization and reducing manual processes.
- Build and analyse bespoke data sets alongside the product development team and take part in project related analyses with the business development and strategy functions.
- Assist in gathering and documenting business and data requirements under the guidance of senior stakeholders.
- Help map business processes and data flows from various sources to help grow data sets as per required.
- Assist with testing and validating data pipelines and automated workflows
- Collaborate with technology teams, data engineers, and business users on assigned initiatives
- Build an understanding of derivatives markets and exchange operations with the potential of external interactions if desired.
- Follow established data governance and security standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or expected completion) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
- Basic understanding of derivatives and commodity markets and basic understanding of fundamentals of price correlations and asset prices.
- Understanding of data concepts (e.g., databases, datasets, data quality)
- Exposure to SQL, Python, R, or similar tools through coursework or internships
- Familiarity with Excel, data visualization, or reporting tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
