About the role
- Management Engineer supporting productivity management and operational support in Duke Health systems. Role involves labor budgeting, performance reporting, and improvement processes.
Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of labor standards used to develop departmental staffing requirements.
- Support of Hospital leadership with productivity improvement efforts to include analyses of departments and processes.
- Perform labor variance analyses in cooperation with departmental leadership to support their efforts in meeting defined productivity goals.
- Development and initiation of clinical analyses in support of the CSU leadership to improve the management and quality of care.
- Provide routine reporting of key quality and patient safety metrics in support of the ongoing quality management process.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
- Master's degree desired
- Minimum of 4 years of PS or related experience
- Level 3: Minimum of 6 years of PS or related experience
- Level 4: minimum of 6 years of PS or related experience
- Experience can be supplemented with Master's degree with a Masters being equivalent to two years of experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills to include database analysis
