About the role
- Welding Engineer overseeing internal production and site projects for mechanical metal processing at Nürmont. Collaborate with clients and ensure compliance with industry standards in welding.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for welding supervision of in-house production and, as required, act as deputy on construction sites
- Create and manage project-related welding documentation and records
- Review technical drawings for welding feasibility
- Coordinate and carry out welder and welding procedure qualifications
- Support inspections and approvals with customers or third‑party inspectors
- Prepare cost estimates and manage projects with a welding engineering focus
- Perform ongoing quality checks of welding work
Requirements
- University degree with additional qualification as a Welding Engineer (SFI/EWE)
- Several years of professional experience in at least one of the following areas: steel construction, pressure vessel construction, or pipeline construction
- Project experience in industrial companies, preferably in a Mittelstand (SME) environment
- Knowledge of standards ISO 3834, AD 2000 and EN 1090
- Strong organizational skills and excellent communication and teamwork abilities
