About the role

  • Handle a variety of cases for Maine veterans, providing civil legal services ranging from triage and consultations to full legal representation
  • Appear in court on a regular basis to provide representation in consumer, landlord/tenant, and benefits cases
  • Provide administrative advocacy on civil legal needs
  • Conduct community engagement with VA clinical and administrative staff and veteran service organizations
  • Establish new relationships in areas across the state for timely referrals

Requirements

  • Must be admitted to the practice of law in Maine or be eligible for licensure with the Maine Bar
  • Previous litigation experience is preferred
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the state of Maine
