About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate VAVE initiatives across product development and engineering activities to enhance product value, reduce cost, and improve performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PD&E, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, procurement, marketing and external stakeholders to identify and implement value improvement opportunities
- Apply structured methodologies such as Function Analysis, FAST diagrams, and creative problem-solving techniques
- Develop and manage VAVE strategy, projects pipeline and performance metrics aligned with business objectives, in collaboration with upper management
- Provide training, coaching and support to internal teams on VAVE principles and tools
- Champion a culture of value thinking across the organization
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the VAVE process
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in value engineering or cost optimization
- Proven expertise in VAVE methodologies, including Function Analysis and Value Methodology
- Strong analytical and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to implement and drive changes, implement methodologies and influence stakeholders through indirect leadership
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities across global and cross-functional teams
- Experience working in a matrixed organization and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Certification in Value Methodology (e.g., CVS, VMP) is a strong asset
- Experience in medical technology or other regulated industry
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Ability to travel internationally as needed to support business objectives
