About the role

Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, fabrication, and UL certification of V2G EVSE and J3068 Active Cable
- Integrate existing industrial and mechanical designs with V2G communication modules
- Oversee the fabrication and commissioning of MVP V2G curbside chargers
- Conduct testing and validation for bidirectional power flow and communication signaling
- Manage certification process with NRTL for UL standards
- Document project activities and compile comprehensive reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Proven experience in product design and engineering, specifically with electrical components and mechanical systems for energy technologies
- Strong knowledge of EV charging standards and protocols, including SAE J1772, J3068, J3400, LIN-CP, and ISO 15118-20
- Familiarity with safety standards such as UL 2954 and ENERGY STAR, and communication protocols like OCPP 2.0.1 and OCPI 2.2.1
- Experience with CAD files, electrical schematics, and firmware/software interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware and software integration challenges
