About the role

  • Drive the pump mechanical design from architecture to component design
  • Ensuring that detailed mechanical analysis is performed on the pump components and assembly, reviewed and meets the required standards for life and reliability targets
  • Developing validation/verification tools dedicated to the mechanical design and development of pumps
  • Supporting pump components and assembly test campaigns (configuration definition, test execution and results reviews)
  • Supporting the resolution of issues encountered with the pump during development and qualification
  • To support design iterations to pump assemblies and/or components, including manufacturing improvements to reduce the cost and lead time of components

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of CAD design, drafting (including GD&T), mechanisms, structural analysis and thermodynamics
  • Proficiency in our software tools (Siemens NX, Ansys, Python)
  • Proven experience in the entire product life cycle, from design to commissioning
  • Experience with turbomachinery and cryogenic liquid propellant propulsion systems is a plus
  • Understanding of space-relevant standards (such as ECSS, MIL-STD, and NASA-HBK) and regulations
  • Fluency in English
