About the role

• QA Test Engineer validating product quality through manual and automated testing. Collaborating in fast-paced agile teams within the security solution industry.

Responsibilities

• Create Test Plans, Test Scripts, Test Cases and Test Data
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing for mobile, web and Desktop applications.
• Record test results (open new tickets, close existing tickets)
• Attend design meetings with Developers, Test Automation Engineers and Architects and provide perspective to improve testability.
• Provide input on User Story creation from the testing perspective.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings to assess status and plan the day's activities.
• Triage issues reported in the field by attempting to recreate in local test environment.
• Learn test automation strategies from team members.
• Install, configure, and operate the product in test and production environments.
• Collaborate with fellow engineers to find elegant, long-term solutions as well as creative quick fixes to problems.

Requirements

• Experience with Mobile App testing (Automation & Manual)
• Good experience with Appium for mobile test automation.
• Proven Experience in Selenium WebDriver and frameworks for web UI automation.
• Experience with at least one Test Case Management tool (TestRail, Zehpyr, EggPlant, TestLodge, etc)
• Ability to write meaningful test cases, execute test cases and record results.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and how to apply them.
• Ability to adapt quickly to a complex environment and learn new concepts.
• Understanding of Change and Release Management
• Experience in Agile software development environment preferred.
• Possess a passion for new technology and innovation.
• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field required, with graduate degree preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of overall experience in Test/QA Mobile App and Web Application (manual & Automation testing) experience
• Knowledge on security product like access control system and readers, smart card, protocol etc., is an added advantage.
• Experience with Selenium and Appium
• Experience with Atlassian suite: Jira, Confluence, etc
• Experience with CI (Jenkins or Bamboo)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
