• IT Business Solutions Architect role at Kennametal, focusing on SAP MM-Sourcing and supporting business solutions. Engage with stakeholders to optimize purchasing and materials management processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop solutions that support the business within Kennametal's technology framework
• Evaluate the technical and economic feasibility of proposed solutions
• Research and evaluate alternative technology solutions
• Using a matrixed team, plan, schedule, and deliver business solutions
• Help to drive the best out of the sourcing and financial management systems
• Liaison with other internal IT and business functions to comprehensively resolve issues
• Identify technology development improvement opportunities and prepare action plans
• Identify and implement new uses of information technologies to assist Kennametal in meeting its strategic objectives
• Manage projects as needed, typically less than a year in duration
• Plan and manage own work and others as required
• Ensure quality, timeliness, efficiency, and effectiveness of deliverables while providing regular and accurate status to the business areas and line manager
• Provide expertise on strategic issues and projects
• Manage and participate in cross-functional teams and SAP projects
• Represent and promote Kennametal through participation in technology community activities, industry groups, and associations

Requirements

• BS/BA Degree (preferably degree in Computer Science, Information Systems)
• 6-8 years of experience configuring and supporting SAP Purchasing and MM modules (ECC6 or S4)
• Excellent written and oral communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment
• Ability to manage a team, and work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Ability to work with internal business partners to understand & define business requirements, manage expectations & implement solutions that meet business objectives
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Commitment to detail, quality, and continuous improvement under tight deadlines
