About the role
- Complete ownership of federal and state income tax compliance obligations
- Complete ownership of property and sales and use tax filing obligations
- Liaise with outsourced tax advisors for Canadian income tax filings
- Complete ownership of quarterly and annual income tax provision for all U.S. entities
- Work collaboratively with Tax Director, Reporting & Transfer Pricing for U.S. tax provision
- Develop, mentor, and train staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, advanced degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience, preferably with Big Four firm or publicly traded multinational company
- Experience with tax provision software implementation
- Advanced knowledge of ASC 740
- US international tax experience or interest in developing expertise in this area
- Experience with IRC Sec. 163(j) and Base Erosion Anti-Avoidance Tax (BEAT)
- Familiarity with transfer pricing principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
