System Engineer managing VoIP & Unified Communication solutions for a leading insurance broker in Germany. Supporting Microsoft 365 and providing second-level support for end users.
Responsibilities
Set up, configure and maintain softphone solutions (e.g., STARFACE, Swyx, 3CX)
Manage, monitor and troubleshoot SIP-based communication systems
Support Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
Provide second-level support for end users (hardware and software, remote and onsite)
Document IT processes, system configurations and solutions
Participate in IT projects and rollouts
Coordinate with external service providers
Requirements
Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or an equivalent qualification
Experience with VoIP and softphone solutions such as STARFACE, Swyx or 3CX
Strong knowledge of SIP, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and firewall configuration
Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
Ideally, initial experience with PowerShell or another scripting language
Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, PCVisit) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA ITSM, OTRS)
Experience with Windows clients and preferably server operating systems
Enjoy working in a team, strong organizational skills and an open communication style
