About the role
- System Engineer managing VoIP & Unified Communication solutions for a leading insurance broker in Germany. Supporting Microsoft 365 and providing second-level support for end users.
Responsibilities
- Set up, configure and maintain softphone solutions (e.g., STARFACE, Swyx, 3CX)
- Manage, monitor and troubleshoot SIP-based communication systems
- Support Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Provide second-level support for end users (hardware and software, remote and onsite)
- Document IT processes, system configurations and solutions
- Participate in IT projects and rollouts
- Coordinate with external service providers
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or an equivalent qualification
- Experience with VoIP and softphone solutions such as STARFACE, Swyx or 3CX
- Strong knowledge of SIP, networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and firewall configuration
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- Ideally, initial experience with PowerShell or another scripting language
- Familiarity with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, PCVisit) and ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA ITSM, OTRS)
- Experience with Windows clients and preferably server operating systems
- Enjoy working in a team, strong organizational skills and an open communication style
