  • **Expected outcomes & requirements**
  • Successful ground system deployment and operation: Ground systems are assembled, configured, and installed correctly and efficiently at customer sites, leading to reliable processing of satellite data into images.
  • Effective customer technical interaction: Clearly explain technical concepts and work collaboratively with customer technical staff, internal stakeholders and partners, fostering strong relationships and ensuring smooth system integration.
  • Adherence to technical standards and qualifications: The role requires strong technical expertise in specified technologies (Dell VxRail, VMWare, Kubernetes) and relevant certifications, ensuring high-quality work and compliance.
  • Adaptability and operational readiness: You must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment, adapt to occasionally changing timelines and participate in an on-call rotation after onboarding to provide continuous support. The role requires occasional traveling to customer sites.
  • A System Engineer is expected to actively drive the continuous improvement of assembly, integration, and on-site installation processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adaptability to evolving project needs. This includes identifying bottlenecks in these areas, proposing practical enhancements, and fostering a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

  • **Role-specific competences**
  • You will need hands-on experience with on-premises hardware (servers, storage, switches, firewalls, cabling), VMWare virtualization, and Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in networking troubleshooting and Linux system administration in production is required, along with proficiency in logging and monitoring solutions.
  • A successful candidate will have an "Infrastructure as Code" mindset (or willingness to learn) and a strong emphasis on security.
  • We expect experience with orchestration tools - e.g. Hashicorp Terraform and experience from Storage arrays administration
