About the role
- System Engineer working on Business Support Systems for INTRACOM TELECOM, a leader in telecommunications. Engaging in system integration, technical support, and automation development.
Responsibilities
- **Responsibilities:**
- Utilize various open-source technologies and tools to orchestrate solutions
- Build independent tools, scripts, and automation using Python, JavaScript, or Bash
- Configure and manage data sources such as MySQL, Oracle, Elasticsearch, etc.
- Work with GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement integrations as requested by customers
- Deploy updates and fixes
- Provide Level 2 technical support
- Perform root cause analysis for production errors
- Investigate and resolve technical issues
- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a system administrator
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Good knowledge of database administration (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Very good knowledge of SQL
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash, Awk, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of software engineering tools (Eclipse, Apache Ant, Maven, Jenkins)
- Fluent in English
- **Considered a plus**:
- Linux cluster installation and configuration
- VM environment installation and administration (VMware, KVM, OpenStack technologies, Containers)
- Installation and administration of Wildfly AS and Spring Boot microservices
- Familiarity with testing tools (JMeter, Wireshark, Seagull)
- Knowledge of security practices in OS, networks, databases and applications
