Responsibilities
- Contribute directly to the development of cutting-edge electric vehicles
- Develop expertise in CAD design, prototyping, testing, and validation
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and designers
- Gain practical experience and develop skills for future careers in the automotive industry
- Learn and apply basic CAE analysis techniques to evaluate designs
- Research and report on alternative design solutions, materials, and manufacturing processes
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work from our Irvine, CA campus for 6 months.
- Experience utilizing CAD software for solid and surface modeling.
- Experience with 3DX and/or CATIA software (preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes for body-in-white (BIW) components
