About the role
- Software Engineer designing and building components of Stellar Core for Stellar Development Foundation. Collaborating with engineers to improve distributed systems performance in a blockchain environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build key components of Stellar Core
- Collaborate with our CTO and team of engineers
- Write clean, maintainable code focusing on edge cases
- Own core subsystems of Stellar Core
- Investigate and refactor performance bottlenecks
- Author detailed technical specifications
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience developing software on a team
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
- Proficiency in modern C++ or Rust in a production environment
- Solid understanding of software design patterns
- Knowledge of best practices and development tools
- Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
- Direct experience with designing and implementing distributed systems (Bonus)
- Strong curiosity in blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies (Bonus)
