About the role

  • Architect, design, and lead the implementation of robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Define and drive the quality engineering roadmap and technical vision, influencing our approach to functional and non-functional (performance, security, load) testing.
  • Lead the integration of automated testing into our CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid feedback loops and promoting a culture of continuous delivery.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of SDETs and developers, establishing best practices, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new testing tools, technologies, and processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our quality assurance efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Product Managers to influence software design for testability from the earliest stages of development.
  • Establish and oversee the strategy for performance, load, and scalability testing to ensure our applications are robust and resilient at scale.
  • Define and track key quality metrics (e.g., test coverage, defect density, escape rates) to provide visibility into quality and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience in software development and test automation, with a proven track record of technical leadership.
  • Expert-level proficiency in an object-oriented or scripting language, preferably Java or JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience architecting, designing, and developing complex test automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise with UI automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Extensive experience in API testing and automation for RESTful and GraphQL services using libraries like REST Assured (Java) or Supertest/Axios (JavaScript).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience integrating test automation into pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Solid experience with performance and load testing methodologies and tools, such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + good benefits (insurance, annual leave, bonuses, referral rewards, and more).
