About the role
- Senior MOCVD Development Engineer interfacing between epi and development groups at Infinera. Requires device development and performance analysis expertise in optoelectronic devices.
Responsibilities
- The ability to take device development roadmaps, convert them to actionable epi process development/improvement plans, and drive these plans to completion
- The engineer must be able to identify longer term projects or key technologies necessary for future device needs
- Support production by analyzing and modeling device data and tying it back to epi processes to improve yields and performance
- Experience and vision to automate analytic processes to streamline and tighten epi distributions
- Ability to work in a close-knit collaborative team environment
Requirements
- Fresh PhD in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science with strong emphasis in optoelectronic devices
- 0-2+ years industry experience in InP based optoelectronic epitaxy and devices is strongly preferred
- Fundamental compound semiconductor epitaxy experience
- Strong understanding of device performance to epitaxy process and design
- Aptitude to data query, perform statistical analysis, and present data and ideas to a diverse audience
- Must be able to lead and drive projects whether individual or part of a team
- Solid communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
