About the role
- Software Engineer developing web and mobile user interfaces for Alkira's CSX platform. Innovating software solutions and building user-friendly applications with React and Redux.
Responsibilities
- Develop software for Alkira’s CSX (Cloud Services Exchange)
- Design, develop, and deliver highly scalable and reliable web applications and component libraries
- Build innovative and high performing web experience using React, Redux and Hooks
- Develop innovative software solutions for our enterprise-focused cloud application
- Build in flexibility and customization from the start
- Internalize the user and promote good usability and accessibility in every user experience
- Understand relational databases like Postgres
- Familiarity with REST APIs and experience with git, continuous integration and deployment tools
- Add and improve test coverage in end-to-end automation, integration, and unit test suites
- Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team
Requirements
- Requires B.S. or equivalent in EE or CS
- Excellent Javascript programming and debugging skills
- Good grasp on computer science fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, operating system)
- Prefer 6 months of internship or professional React/Redux or modern framework experience
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS3 , and JavaScript
- Understanding of javascript including concepts such as asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6
- Some understanding of CSS and Less/Sass and usage in large scale applications
- Nice to have some experience in node.js api development
- Keen on understanding UI testing framework like Jest/Mocha or cypress is a must
- Team-player: The candidate should be able to work in teams of various sizes that may be geographically distributed
