About the role
- Software Engineer in Test developing robust test automation solutions for Fidelity’s clients. Collaborating with development teams to create sustainable software solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- developing robust test automation solutions and functional testing of innovative software designed for Fidelity’s internal and external clients
- collaborate closely with other software developers, architects, and our Capital Markets product team members to transform vision and designs into sustainable business solutions
- develop your skills, collaborate across Fidelity teams and continue to learn in a fun, iterative, and constantly evolving environment
- advocate for agile methodologies, audit compliance, driving efficiency, automation, and improvements across the software development lifecycle
- find opportunities to ensure top quality deliverables while maintaining a focus on automation
- actively participate in the development process through writing and maintain application features and automated tests including unit tests, component tests, integration tests, functional tests, performance tests, scenario tests and interoperability tests
Requirements
- Hands on experience with crafting and maintaining java-based test suites that utilize Selenium, Cucumber and JUnit to test Web UI applications
- Running automation in a CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with Git + GitHub, CI/CD orchestration tooling (Jenkins Core), Artifact Management (Artifactory, Git/Stash or similar)
- Intermediate SQL experience - candidate must be able to write and execute basic queries.
- Exposure to web services testing and good experience with Rest API
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies, delivery projects, implementation, and Agile tools like JIRA
