About the role
- Software Engineer II responsible for working as part of a team on implementing new features and fixing bugs on our products
- Work on a cross functional team as a cross functional team member
- Develop a basic functional knowledge for your domain
- Work closely with team members to refine the scope of work for features/bugs and implement solutions
- Full stack web application development with a variety of languages including but not limited to PHP, Scala, JavaScript, HTML, TSQL, etc.
- Participate in code reviews
- Other responsibilities as needed or assigned
- This position will require regular travel if not living in the local area
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in technical field or equivalent experience
- Experience with back end programming language such as PHP, C#, or Java
- Experience with a functional programming language, such as Scala, is a plus
- Experience with JavaScript and front end JavaScript libraries
- Experience with ExtJS is a plus
- Experience with mobile development, particularly using React Native, is a plus
- Experience working with a relational database such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
- Experience using a version-control system such as git
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organizing skills and attention to details
- Ability to work with people and work as part of a team
- Must be able to work in an environment in which constant deadlines exist
- Must be able to work the hours necessary to successfully perform in this position
- Must understand all company guidelines, procedures, and workflow
