About the role
- Software Developer II building scalable features for Redfin's customer growth team. Collaborating with product managers and engineers to optimize user conversion and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain high-impact features that convert website visitors into home buyers, sellers, and mortgage customers
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, analysts, and other engineers to shape the user journey from first click to customer
- Rapidly prototype, test, and iterate on experiments that drive measurable improvements in conversion and engagement
- Own the full lifecycle of features, from technical design and implementation to monitoring and optimization
- Help shape the team’s technical direction and contribute to decisions around architecture, tooling, and best practices
- Participate in code reviews, provide mentorship to junior engineers, and foster a culture of learning and collaboration
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience specifically in React and Java
- Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers
- Brings a product mindset: curious about user behavior, driven to improve the user experience, and motivated by business impact
- Previous experience working on A/B-experimentation teams a plus
