About the role
- Senior Technology Architect in Enterprise Architecture team shaping the bank’s technology landscape and enhancing client experience with compliance in financial services.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for core banking, payments, lending, investment products, and digital platforms
- Establish and maintain architectural standards, patterns, and documentation
- Evaluate and recommend technologies to improve system performance and scalability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, data management and security standards in all designs
- Develop strategies to mitigate risks and enhance cybersecurity and operational resilience
- Define and execute architecture aligned with strategic business objectives
- Develop long-term technology roadmaps and future-state architecture visions
- Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies and their impact
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align technology requirements with business goals
- Mentor design and development teams on architectural best practices
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software design and architecture
- 5+ years of experience within financial services, focusing on banking, payments, or lending
- Solid experience within enterprise architecture (TOGAF, BIAN, or related)
- Advanced knowledge of software architecture, microservices, API integrations (including open banking/finance), messaging frameworks (ex MQ, Kafka, etc) and data management and analytics platforms
- Experience with cloud-native solutions, containerization, and public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
- Experience with both bespoke and vendor platforms (FIS an asset)
- Certified professional: TOGAF 9; Azure or AWS related certifications; CISSP or equivalent certification is an asset
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Master’s degree is a plus
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
