About the role
- Join cross-functional team building new product experiences in the Zable App used by over 500,000 customers on iOS and Android.
- Develop new products and features, and help bring Zable to new audiences (UK and US expansion).
- Improve mobile performance, reduce technical debt, and improve scalability.
- Take ownership across a broad remit and make decisions that drive material impact from day one.
- Work in small teams of exceptional people and collaborate with product owners, engineers, and designers.
- Write and improve automated tests across the testing pyramid; participate in code reviews and technical sessions.
- Deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions using Typescript and React Native; debug and optimise mobile apps.
- Participate in staged rollouts, experiments, and multivariate testing to validate hypotheses and measure impact.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of modern Javascript with Typescript.
- Commercial experience with cross-platform mobile development using React Native.
- Good understanding of the different needs of mobile users across a variety of platforms and devices.
- Experienced with current automated testing approaches and pragmatic implementation of the testing pyramid (Jest, React Testing Library, Maestro).
- Product mindset; comfortable working with product owners to break down business requirements into deliverable tasks and estimate implementation complexity.
- Experience with Typescript, React Native, GraphQL, Jest, React Testing Library, Maestro, MobX.
- Familiarity with web stack (Typescript, React, NextJS, SCSS, Cypress, Redux) and backend tooling (Kotlin, PHP, AWS, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
- Experience with debugging and reporting tools (Bugsnag, Datadog, Sentry) is desirable.
- Experience with Figma & Storybook and UI/UX collaboration is desirable.
- Experience with staged rollouts, multivariate testing, mobile performance best practices, and accessibility is advantageous.
- Ability to be in the office (Shoreditch, London) on core days; able to work hybrid and able to be in the office ~3 days per week.
- Right to work in the UK (application asks about visa to work in the UK).
