About the role
- Senior Product Designer leading design for Depop’s Android app. Creating best-in-class experiences for buyers and sellers with a focus on mobile-first challenges.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design for the Android app – exploring, prototyping, and delivering solutions from concepts to polished UI.
- Balance multiple projects, ensuring strong execution while tying your work to broader product strategy.
- Partner with product, engineering, and research to shape priorities, align stakeholders, and drive a clear vision for Android experiences.
- Champion seller needs while balancing Depop’s goals — using data and market insight to identify opportunities, test solutions, and deliver impact.
- Share knowledge of mobile best practices, mentor peers, and contribute to a positive, collaborative design culture.
- Apply strong craft and a deep understanding of Android design patterns, raising the quality and consistency of Depop’s mobile experience.
Requirements
- Strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX and UI design across mobile, with significant Android work.
- Experience leading end-to-end product design processes, from research synthesis to prototyping and delivery
- Skilled in Figma and proficient with prototyping tools
- Strong understanding of Android UI patterns, Material Design, and platform-specific nuances.
- Ability to translate research and insights into clear, compelling design decisions.
- Confident in presenting work and influencing stakeholders with compelling but structured, evidence-based arguments.
- (Nice to have) Experience designing for both Android and iOS, with a strong grasp of cross-platform consistency.
- (Nice to have) Familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace products.
