About the role
- Senior Procurement Manager in Facilities and Utilities, leading strategic sourcing and supplier management efforts for Roche's healthcare solutions. Driving procurement efficiency and sustainability in energy sourcing.
Responsibilities
- Bring analytical thinking, planning, execution, and focus to the procurement sourcing and delivery capability area
- Proactively identify and drive strategies and approaches for managing and sourcing third-party spend requirements
- Collaborate with internal procurement and business stakeholders to build and implement comprehensive category sourcing and spend management strategies
- Conduct market and internal analysis to develop strategies, best practices, and guidance on tactical plans for sourcing
- Lead and execute competitive sourcing for power and natural gas in deregulated markets
- Conduct strategic contract negotiation with retailers and utilities to secure optimal pricing, terms, and supply reliability
- Maintain a strong understanding of power and gas markets and infrastructure (ISOs/RTOs)
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate energy price volatility
- Manage critical supplier relationships with energy retailers and utilities, ensuring high performance, service reliability
Requirements
- You hold a university degree, preferably in business or a related discipline
- 7+ years of procurement experience in strategic sourcing, global category management, complex procurement contracting, and operational category efficiency projects
- Solid leadership experience, extensive procurement experience and deep specific category knowledge in one or more categories
- Strong experience in procurement systems and processes
- Deep knowledge and experience in the Facilities and Utilities, especially Utilities commodity areas and knowledge of adjacent commodities
- Skills in project management
- Fluent in English to a Business level.
