Responsibilities
- Install, configure, automate, and maintain our production Red Hat OpenShift platform with the OpenShift Virtualization operator
- Lead the migration of virtual servers from VMware vSphere to OpenShift Virtualization using tools like virt-v2v
- Monitor platform health, performance, and capacity; perform tuning for virtualized workloads
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues related to OpenShift Virtualization, KubeVirt, networking, and storage
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, or Golang (Infrastructure as Code)
Requirements
- 6+ years in infrastructure engineering for Senior role or 8+ years for Principal role
- Proven, hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization in a production environment
- Deep expertise in the core Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP 4.x+)
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes fundamentals and hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL, CentOS)
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
