About the role

  • Senior Network Administrator providing IT support for RDT&E networks at NSWC Crane. Delivering quality solutions while optimizing network infrastructure and ensuring SLA compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining network architecture, including border security, SDN, WAN/LAN, and remote site hardware
  • Configuring network devices and maintaining accurate documentation, including diagrams and asset inventories
  • Monitoring network performance, managing capacity, and ensuring SLA compliance through regular reporting
  • Troubleshooting hardware/software issues and implementing security protocols
  • Managing system updates, patches, and fixes
  • Responding to service requests and maintaining detailed records in ticketing systems

Requirements

  • DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level III Certification required (CompTIA CASP+, CCNP Security, or CISSP)
  • Experience with F5 services (APM, SWG, GTM, LTM), Cisco ISE (including posture modules), and Cisco Firepower
  • Knowledge of network mapping tools (e.g., RedSeal), Cisco ACI, Cisco DNA Center, and Azure Cloud Environment
  • Proficiency with dynamic routing protocols BGP and OSPF
  • Strong skills in network monitoring, security, and performance optimization
  • An A**ctive** DoD **Secret **clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
