About the role

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across the organization to ensure ML and BI initiatives align with business priorities
  • Architect, design, and implement ML solutions and system frameworks that elevate BI practices
  • Develop advanced analytical approaches that strengthen the foundation of the data and BI platform
  • Collaborate with BI/Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts to deliver predictive and prescriptive models that enhance decision-making
  • Establish decision-making frameworks, processes, and tools that become standard practices for the Data & BI Engineering team
  • Stay current with emerging trends in ML, AI, and BI and recommend/apply relevant tools and techniques
  • Apply MLOps best practices to optimize models for production performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse technical and non-technical audiences
  • Deliver practical, scalable, and impactful ML solutions while contributing to a culture of data innovation

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of professional experience designing, implementing, and deploying ML/AI systems at scale
  • Expertise in modern ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and a strong understanding of their theoretical underpinnings
  • Proven ability to develop novel algorithms and approaches for complex problem-solving
  • Strong system architecture and engineering skills with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong grasp of MLOps practices and experience optimizing ML systems for production environments
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Utah-based hybrid position requiring some regular in-office days each week
  • Employment contingent on passing both a background and credit check
