Serve as the primary administrator for our Jira and Confluence instances, including user management, permissions, workflows, integrations and security.
Design, implement, and maintain custom workflows, schemes, and automation rules to support various cross-functional teams and projects.
Monitor the health, performance, and scalability of our Atlassian applications. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
Evaluate, install, and manage Jira and Confluence add-ons and integrations with other tools.
Provide expert support to end-users, create documentation, and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of the tools.
Plan and execute regular maintenance, backups, and upgrades for our Jira and Confluence instances.
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a variety of applications, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, Data.world, Tableau, and AWS services.
Utilize tools to manage and provision infrastructure on cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
Implement and maintain monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand their needs and provide technical support.
Continuously evaluate and improve our DevOps practices and Jira workflows to enhance productivity and collaboration.
Requirements
Combined experience of 5+ years in Jira & DevOps admin role with a strong background in administering and scaling Jira instances across business units and enterprises of 1000+ users and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Jira & Confluence Expertise: Deep knowledge of Jira Core, Jira Software, and Jira Service Management. Proficiency with Confluence administration and the integration of Confluence spaces with Jira projects.
Workflow Design and Reporting: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex workflows and various schemes – screens, permissions, notifications, along with experience constructing custom reports and dashboards.
Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
Scripting & Automation: Experience with Jira automation features and familiarity with scripting languages like Groovy and JQL is a must.
Plugins: Working knowledge of operating and supporting important Atlassian plugins such as Adaptavist Script runner or similar plugins.
DevOps Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
Automation, Orchestration and Monitoring: Proficiency with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, NewRelic, etc.
