About the role

• Jira & DevOps Administrator working with Bazaarvoice to manage Jira and CI/CD pipelines. Overseeing workflows and providing technical support for various business applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary administrator for our Jira and Confluence instances, including user management, permissions, workflows, integrations and security.
• Design, implement, and maintain custom workflows, schemes, and automation rules to support various cross-functional teams and projects.
• Monitor the health, performance, and scalability of our Atlassian applications. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.
• Evaluate, install, and manage Jira and Confluence add-ons and integrations with other tools.
• Provide expert support to end-users, create documentation, and conduct training sessions to ensure effective use of the tools.
• Plan and execute regular maintenance, backups, and upgrades for our Jira and Confluence instances.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for a variety of applications, including Salesforce, NetSuite, Snowflake, Data.world, Tableau, and AWS services.
• Utilize tools to manage and provision infrastructure on cloud platforms, primarily AWS.
• Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Implement and maintain monitoring tools to ensure the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.
• Work closely with development, QA, and product teams to understand their needs and provide technical support.
• Continuously evaluate and improve our DevOps practices and Jira workflows to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Requirements

• Combined experience of 5+ years in Jira & DevOps admin role with a strong background in administering and scaling Jira instances across business units and enterprises of 1000+ users and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Jira & Confluence Expertise: Deep knowledge of Jira Core, Jira Software, and Jira Service Management. Proficiency with Confluence administration and the integration of Confluence spaces with Jira projects.
• Workflow Design and Reporting: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex workflows and various schemes – screens, permissions, notifications, along with experience constructing custom reports and dashboards.
• Agile Methodologies: Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks.
• Scripting & Automation: Experience with Jira automation features and familiarity with scripting languages like Groovy and JQL is a must.
• Plugins: Working knowledge of operating and supporting important Atlassian plugins such as Adaptavist Script runner or similar plugins.
• DevOps Tools: Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub, AWS CodePipeline, etc.
• Automation, Orchestration and Monitoring: Proficiency with tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, NewRelic, etc.
• Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Version Control: Expert in using Git for version control.
• Testing: Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium.
• Scripting: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.
• SaaS Applications: Experience managing deployments for SaaS applications like Salesforce and NetSuite is a must.
• Data Platforms: Experience with CI/CD for data platforms is a must, including Snowflake, Tableau, and Data.world.
• Infrastructure as Code: Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
• Communication: Experience creating knowledge resources for technical and non-technical users.
