About the role
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.
- Develop and implement AI models, machine learning algorithms, Gen AI applications to solve business problems.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop processes and tools to finetune, evaluate, monitor, and analyze model performance and accuracy.
- Use software design principles and AI Copilot/AI builders to develop production ready code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate model.
- Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Gen AI, data science and machine learning techniques.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of ML algorithms and techniques: supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning.
- Deep knowledge in NLP, Computer Vision, and GenAI, including architectures like Transformers, BERT, GPT, etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python.
- Must be an expert in writing ML code.
- Working experience with full-stack web development (using either Python backend + React frontend or AI builders like lovable.dev and builder.io).
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and Spark.
- Can build vector DB.
- Hands-on experience in state-of-the-art ML and DL as applied to large-scale datasets.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries (PyTorch, Scikit-learn, NLTK, llama-index, Langchain, Lang Graph).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques.
- Strong Math background.
- Solid understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation techniques, vector DB, Agentic and RAG applications.
- Working experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS).
- Working experience with deploying, monitoring, finetuning LLM/VLM models and building AI agents.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field).
- Proven experience as a GenAI Data Scientist or Machine Learning Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
