About the role

• Senior Full Stack Java Developer building scalable transaction processing systems at Morgan Stanley. Collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable platforms for impactful financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, onshore/ offshore teams in delivering a reliable platform.
• Contribute to each phase of the SDLC process including support.
• Lead a squad of developers and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure delivery of new functionality for users and help grow members of the team.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong design and implementation fundamentals.
• Strong design skills for building scalable systems.
• Strong experience in developing enterprise level systems using Java / Spring Boot.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with our stakeholders and PO and translate business requirements into features, user stories, design, implementation, test, deploy solutions.
• Proficiency in Java, React, Spring Boot, GitHub, PostgreSQL, and Scheduler tools.
• Strong experience in developing and designing technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with modern distributed technologies such as messaging brokers (e.g. Kafka, MQ) and distributed caching solutions.
• Experience of Agile development techniques and a deep understanding of systems engineering, build and release management principles including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
• Experience with application integration, software design patterns, frameworks, unit testing, automated testing, performance / memory analysis, and n-tier service-oriented architecture.
• Strong fundamentals of domain/event/message driven architecture and REST services.
• Understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
• Strong testing practices, Junit, Mockito, and other standard testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of French and English is required.
