About the role
- Fullstack Engineer building Carbmee’s carbon-management platform across frontend, backend, and cloud. Ship end-to-end features, collaborate with product, and mentor others.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship end-to-end features across the stack (React/Next.js, NestJS, Python, PostgreSQL)
- Collaborate closely with product managers and designers to solve customer problems
- Own work from idea to deployment and beyond
- Work on a service-oriented architecture deployed on AWS
- Contribute to technical direction, challenge assumptions, and propose ideas
- (If senior) Mentor others and help raise the engineering bar
Requirements
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in fullstack or web development in B2B SaaS
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, ideally with React and/or Next.js
- Experience building backend services in Node.js or Python
- Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced environments
- Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
- Passion for business sustainability, carbon emissions management, and climate tech
- Willingness to work in or join team in Berlin or Munich
- Bonus: experience with real-time processing, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, performance optimization, or scalable APIs
