Responsibilities
- Define and implement a technology vision for building new product features for Telematics
- Manage the product and business outcomes of the engineering teams
- Develop a long-term product roadmap in collaboration with product teams
- Lead technical design discussions by collaborating with multiple teams, including other embedded teams, backend engineers, product managers etc
- Hire, manage, and develop a diverse team of distributed yet highly productive engineers. This includes providing technical guidance as well as effective coaching and career development
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, working on embedded devices (RTOS, Linux or Android; Android preferred)
- 5+ years of experience managing 10+ engineers
- Ability to drive architectural designs of software systems, navigating complex product requirements and engineering constraints
- Demonstrated success in hiring, managing, motivating, and promoting effective engineers
- Proven track record as a nimble and proactive thinker and doer, who thrives in an environment that demands excellence
- Passion for continuous experimentation and learning, coupled with a desire to make things run faster, and better
