About the role
- Senior Engineer Big Data responsible for delivery of complex applications and systems at Elevance Health. Engaging with customers and managing technical projects in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- responsible for the delivery of end to end application, system development and maintenance on complex multi technology platforms
- maintains active relationships with customers to determine business requirements
- owns the change request process
- provides technical advice on technical decisions that impact cross functional teams
- researches and proposes new technologies
- develops and owns list of final enhancements
- prepares technical and/or functional specifications
- performs technical design reviews and code reviews
- assesses current status and supports data information planning
- coordinates on-call support and ensures effective monitoring of system
- mentors others and may lead multiple small to medium sized projects
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- minimum of 5 years related experience
- multi-dimensional platform experience
- expert level experience with business and technical applications
- multi database and/or multi language strongly preferred
- experience mentoring others
- experience leading multiple small projects
- experience providing troubleshooting support
