• Senior Django Backend Engineer at Photoroom developing features for AI photo editing solutions. Collaborating with teams to enhance product quality and user experience while ensuring scalability.

Responsibilities

• Own your work from A to Z: architecture & coding features to monitoring releases' performance
• Get fast feedback from users and iterate quickly
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to actively help design and deliver seamless user experiences
• Optimise existing endpoints, driving down latency and ensuring scaling to ever greater usages

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Django and Django Rest Framework
• Experience working with a relational database at scale, designing schemas, optimising Django queries, and running migrations with minimal downtime
• Hands-on experience with a PostgreSQL/MySQL database larger than 100 GB
• Experience designing endpoints in direct collaboration with frontend engineers, delivering both Open API and developer manuals/supporting documentation
• Strong sense of ownership and initiative
• Fluent in English (French is not required!).
