About the role
- Lead the design and deployment of advanced machine learning models and AI solutions for mission-critical challenges.
- Analyze diverse data sources, including structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, to extract insights.
- Mentor junior data scientists and provide guidance on technical problems and career development.
- Manage end-to-end data projects from ingestion and cleaning to model deployment and monitoring.
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to implement scalable, production-grade solutions.
- Identify new data sources and methods to enrich analytical capabilities.
- Deliver results and technical insights to senior leadership and stakeholders, communicating complex ideas accessibly.
- Collaborate closely with government stakeholders and handle export-controlled material/security clearance requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or related fields.
- Active US Government Security Clearance at the Secret level at hire.
- Clearances are granted to US Citizens.
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL, with a strong command of machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Extensive experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, and big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with real-time data processing, data engineering, and ETL pipelines. (Desired)
- Familiarity with deep learning, reinforcement learning, or natural language processing (NLP). (Desired)
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing data science teams and driving cross-functional projects. (Desired)
- Strong understanding of data privacy and security considerations in data science applications. (Desired)
