Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, software licenses, SAAS agreements, asset purchase agreements, services agreements, data protection agreements, equipment leases and real property leases.
Provide advice to the business on legal matters, including contract interpretation and enforcement, risk assessment, legal and regulatory compliance and corporate policies.
Provide advice to the business on data privacy law matters.
Assist with corporate governance matters.
Assist with the creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the legal department.
Maintain current knowledge of the law in matters of interest to the company.
Perform selected assignments and other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Master's or Advanced degree (JD from accredited law school).
At least 8 years of experience as a corporate attorney handling commercial contracts (with at least two years at a law firm).
State Bar membership in one or more states.
Strong communication, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to review, understand, analyze, and interpret complex legal agreements.
Contract drafting and negotiating experience required.
English required.
