About the role

• Senior Civil Engineer delivering civil engineering projects from concept to detailed design. Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success in urban development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the successful delivery of civil engineering projects, from feasibility and concept design to detailed design
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide technical advice, direction, and overview of the day-to-day delivery of urban development engineering designs
• Manage selected designs and teams to develop and implement the highest level of technical delivery through effective review process
• Build effective and enduring relationships with other teams and technical disciplines, and external organisations
• Manage subconsultants, quality assurance, client feedback and ensure effective communication of changes
• Technical quality assurance and report writing
• Build and consolidate networks within the industry

Requirements

• Relevant degree (Civil Engineering preferred) recognised by a relevant Industry Association or Institute – Chartered professional status, or equivalent and a post graduate qualification will be highly regarded
• Extensive industry experience (minimum seven years) including overseeing the engineering aspects of a project, application of standards and technical knowledge within the NSW urban development market
• Ability to provide technical expertise and direction through consultative support and effective communication to the teams
• Ability to lead, manage, mentor and develop large to medium scale, diverse project teams
• Experience of working in multi-discipline teams and/or project teams on major complex projects across a range of market sectors
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both internally and externally.
